Lets cool off a bit..
|
|
Theme: Hot Day
Scenario:Nothing beats a hot day than a swim in a river..
Subject: Kerbau (Buffalo)
Scientific Name: ??
Origin Of Kerbau - Tales
| Quote: | HUNDERED OF YEARS AGO, man had a hard life and was never able to get enough to eat. Sometimes he ate every third day, sometimes only every fifth or sixth day; so he was always hungry, although he worked day and night. He was really to be pitied.
The Emperor of Heaven pitied mankind because they laboured ceaselessly without getting enough to eat. He ordered his subject, the Kerbau, that is, the Kerbau star in the sky, to go down to earth and say to the people: "If you men are energetic, you can have one meal every three days."
The Kerbau, however, misunderstood his orders. He went quickly down to earth and announced to the people: "The Emperor of Heaven says you shall have three meals a day and not starve any more." When he returned to heaven and made his report, he was punished for his mistake. He was sent down to earth to help men at the plough. "I told you to tell them," said the Emperor," that they shold have one meal every three days, but you have now given them three meals each day. Just think of it; men have only two hands and two feet - how can they prepare three meals a day? It is all your fault, and you must answer for it. You must go down to earth and help men plough, so that they will be able to get three meals a day."
Therefore, the Kerbau went down to earth and helped men to farm and plant padi. These animals that are now on the earth originally came from heaven.

SO... enjoying the tales...
I dunno how true is that .. but i heard of another story that involved a Kerbau (Buffalo) & a Lembu (Cow) on why buffalo have a very tight skin and why a Cow having a very loose skin. ...
maybe in next entry i'll tell the story in my own words..
As for the pictures.. just as a suggestion on a way to cool off During the summer heat(although i heard that summer is ending already)
Again this is from my village.. and that river is the Kerian River a border between Kedah & Perak..
enjoy
RE:
Nana: yea basically this is "Mandi Kerbau".. now we know why the pepatah said that
Rafi: This is a what they call "clean berkubang".. if really berkubang then the scene will be more messier with all the mud etc
Ronald: I'm also glad that the Kerbau make the mistake.. or else ..

A Walk In The Garden Series 04 - Curved & Fences
i bet most people is getting tired of this particular series.. dont worry it'll end soon.. promise!!
Anyway.. this particular series involves a few fences and a curved fence in the garden... not very well captured by me since the time was about 12 in the afternoon and it gets really hot over here.. i was sweating like nobodys bussiness..
A few garden maintenance workers are smiling at me and they must be thinking "what is this guy doing in the middle of the tarmac under the hot afternoon sun."
anyway.. enjoy.
