This is another "Hanging Bridge" over the Kerian River.. located about 3km from the First "Hanging Bridge" in the last entry http://kumanx.fotopages.com/?entry=157814

Noticed the water is getting clearer due to no rains in the are for a couple of weeks.. and the condition of this bridge is worst than the last one.. you can see how the walkway curves to the left... but amazingly peoplestill use this bridge on a daily basis... with riding with a motorcycle and they have to do a bit of balancing art whent he bridge start to swing from left to right up and down.... pretty adventureous... forget bungee jumping... try bridge crossing next time around...

There were incident before where by a few unlucky villager plunges over the bridge into the river below with their motorcycle... but no serious injury of course.. just a big scare on their pride..."failed to cross the bridge with a motorcycle"

i myself never been unlucky.. but who know ... maybe my days are numbered...

anyway enjoy the shots..

Curry Puff

Fried until Golden Brown
Keep the fire about this bright

I saw a few fotopages started to put shots of delicious food... and i noticed that i also have the same shots from last week... so here goes..

This is called KARIPAP "Curry Puff".

The recipe is something like this....

- 1. Tepung Gandum (Wheat Flour)
- 2. Margerine
- 3. Potatoes (Kentang) - cut into small cubes or Keledek (Yam)-mashed to perfection
- 4. Curry & Spices
- 5. Meat (Beef / Chicken) cut into small cubes....
- 6. Water
- 7. A lil bit of Salt
- 8. Coconut Oil (for frying)

hmm i think that's about it...
For the exact measurements.. i have no idea.. i need to ask my mom about it..

Disclamer
** and Please DO NOT try this at home since this is not the exact way to do it.. i'll not be held responsible for any food poisoning resulted from miss understanding these instruction

How to tie a knot...

Sluggish job but thanks to the nail..
Neat rope works

How to tie a knot around a wood and not letting it fall...... use a NAIL!!

Yup.. thats what the gardener told me when i asked him if they use any nail to hold the 2 wood together.... after that.. they just tie this rope on top of the nail so that it covers and give the realism of the rope actually what holds the wood together.....

The i asked again...

Q:Why do you do it that way? would it be cheating?
A:Naa... it would be easy to maintain... and we're the one who needs to do the maintenance.... no need to tie the rope every time the wood joins become loose....there's no cheating in making our work easy..

I guess he's right in a way....

and i just stop my questions there..

kuman

Shot01 is about as 'macro' as i can get with my cam without the image getting blurred... maybe i'm going it wrongly.. .. yup... i was really hoping i cen get as many details as i can for that knots..
thanks

Cool photos. teringat masa masuk pengakap time sekolah dulu. Can't recall the knots' names. Anyway, the title has a deeper meaning though but the latter one you need a ring to tie the knot..hehe.. Wed 28-Jul-2004 05:32

A couple of shot to steer away from my previous set of shots (dead bird...) which is kinda dark theme for me... as Aydelogy said.... changes from scenery pix to dead bird.... 0)

Now back on track... shots from the local area.. mostly from the garden near the Hospital in this Industrial Park close to my office area....

And the last pix is in the middle of the garden... a reminder for all of us to take care of our heart...

Side Note
This week (hopefully) i'll be going back to my village... and hopefully i can get a few shots of the kampung as well..

Death Becomes Her

Death Becomes Her
Red Ants eating away

i was working on Sunday.. on my way out from the office.. i saw this little bird lying on the pavement being eaten by this red ants.... i think this what we call life cycles...

i bet when the bird wakes up this morning, it didnt think that he/she will be a lunch for a swarm of red ants...

Shot 01: Notice the ray of light touching the birds tail? ... maybe that's the light at the end of the tunnel for the little bird.....

My office windows is a very well known spot for birds to commit suicide and this is one of such case... these windows have this nice reflection of the sky during the day.. so i guess all the birds in the area think that this windows "is" the sky, and just fly towards it..... at least, we'll be able to see at least up to 4 cases of "bird suicide" every 2 weeks

can we have a moment of silence please ...............................................................................................................

kuman

Ayda.... i noticed that one of the fotopages owner in here is a member of one of such gallery.. but i'm not sure of which member... i'll try to find it out.. and let youknow...

TED
I really wish for it..... just hopefully it would appear in some gallery somewhere..

Thanks all..

More Reptiles...

Look at me...
The few & the proud...

I dont know why.. but i always end-up taking shots of these critters.. they seems to be the "friendliest" critters in the garden i suppose...

during these shots i was less then 1 feet away from it.. i didnt even twitch a muscle.. that why i said, they are a very "fiendly" model..

But when i wanted to switch position to take his "frontal view" it jump away to the security of the Bourgenvilla bush behind him.. (how can i be sure its a "him"?? ) maybe it just "camera shy"

See how proud "he" is on the 2nd pix...

and i still didnt know its Latin name, maybe "IGUANOS something".... anyone??

hmmm.....

Excellent detail! # 2 is gorgeous...and I thought I'd NEVER say such a creature was gorgeous! Sun 25-Jul-2004 18:48
