Feels Like Hari Raya

A Lonely "Pelita"

I just found this pix from the last hari raya... just to share the feel of Hari Raya by showing a single "pelita"

Quote:
Allahyarham P. Ramlee

Dendang Perantau

Di hari raya
Terkenang daku kepada si dia
Kampungku indah nun jauh di sana
Ayah serta bondaku

Di tepian mandi
Danauku hijau yang aman damai selalu
Nun di sanalah tempat aku bertemu
Aku dan dia

( korus )
Apakan daya
Masa tak akan kembali
Hancur musnahlah semuanya

Impian yang murni
Tinggal menjadi kenang-kenanganku
Hanya rangkaian kata dan lagu
Dendang perantau

( ulang korus hingga akhir )

Some Insect & Reptile

Praying Mantis 01
Praying Mantis 02
Reptile 01
View all 4 photos...

..... Insect & Reptile....

1. Praying Mantis (aka Mentadak)
2. .... Lizard (aka Cicak Kobeng )

These are the close-up shots of those critters. For that lizard shots.. i was praying very hard so that it wont jump on to me.... and it actually respond to any sound que i made so that it would move its position...

For that reptile.. the first shot is with flash.. amazingly it didnt run away.. maybe it got blinded by the flash

the 2nd reptile shot is without flash.. noticed the different..??

and i'm not really good at catching a shot of a live object.. so unpredictable...

Two shades of every sunrise
Reach out and touch humanity
Got a couple of shots from a few rush morning hour....

this was taken during the sunrise at around 6:55 am...

I was trying to play around with my camera manual settings but i still couldn't figure out on how to properly adjust them.. those Aperture Value (AV), Exposure Time (ET) etc...

so as the result from my trial and error (a LOT of underexpose shots).. i got these 2 shots of the sunrise which (i think ) is pretty good.

enjoy

Absolutely beautiful and outstanding...
Wish I could just reach out and touch such beauty...

View from the hanging bridge

On The Hanging Bridge
The Kerian river..
Kerian River another view
View all 5 photos...
back....

again these set of shots also from my "kampung"/ village...
Actually all of these shots were taken from around the Hanging Bridge (Titi Gantung) that span across the Kerian River (Sungai Kerian)... border between southern Kedah and northen Perak... ... When you look at the map of Kedah.. try to find that particular river... you sure cant miss my village somewhere along that river..

The bridge is passable with motorcycle but it will swing.. A LOT

and BTW.. the river is not at its best state at the moment.... notice the water... not very clear..
i think maybe because around 400metres upstream they are taking the sand from the river bed thus clouding it .. the river used to be clear and there a lot of fish in it....

Raging Water 01
Raging Water 02
Raging Water 03 (Digital Zoom) not ok
Its been raining like nobody's business here (on and off) in the last couple of days...
I took my camera in the rain (+ an umbrella of course) and try to catch some raging water scene and at the same time try to get my hand on this fast action mode...

So far its not been great.. as you guys can see from the shots...

anyway enjoy it

comments on how to improve the shots is very much welcomed..

Update: I add another Optical Zoomed photo.... the end result is just hedious.. a lot of noise and artifact... Raging Water 03
